8vo, color photomontage wrappers designed by Anton Lavinskii from a preliminary design by Mayakovsky.  Osip Brik was an important figure in Russian Futurism, and the subject for Rodchenko's iconic photograph that showed the bespectacled Brik with the reflected acronym of the magazine LEF, which he helped co-found. An architect, graphic designer, set designer, Lavinskii was a pioneer of the Soviet advertising poster and also contributed work to the journal LEF. MoMA 774. Hellyer 57.
